MoCA Setup and Info

I know I need to create a MoCA network.

 

To setup your MoCA:

 

• Use a TiVo Bridge to create a MoCA network

• Use a TiVo DVR to create a MoCA network
  
   

I already have a MoCA network (or I am not sure).

 

To set your MoCA network, just choose of the following:

 

• Connect your TiVo device to an existing MoCA network

• Connect your TiVo with a tuning adapter to an existing MoCA network
   

Setup for:

 

To set your MoCA network, just choose of the following:

 

• TiVo EDGE for Cable

• TiVo BOLT

• TiVo Roamio Plus/Pro

• TiVo Premiere 4/XL4/Elite

  * Premiere 4/XL4/Elite that is in a different room from the router and/or doesn't have access to an Ethernet connection

• 4-tuner TiVo Roamio Series

• 2-tuner TiVo Premiere Series

• Series3

• TiVo HD/HDXL

• Series2 DT

TiVo Bridge Plus has an:

 

• Inbound coax port coming from the coax outlet

• Ethernet cable (blue line) which goes to a router, into a splitter and back to the coax outlet

• Outbound coax going to the modem

Other people makes use of MoCA adapter. For example: Actiontec

 

Actiontec Ethernet-over-Coax Bridges (ECB)

ECB is also used to connect to the MoCA network. It has two coaxial outlets:

 

• In - connects to the coaxial outlet

• Out - connects to the DVR

 

• 4-Tuner TiVo Roamio

Setup for:

 

• 2-Tuner TiVo Premiere

• Series3/HD

• Series2 DT

If you have an Ethernet jack in the wall, there's a good chance you have an Ethernet switch or hub in your setup. If so, you may want to try connecting your TiVo directly to the router to determine if there is a problem with the network infrastructure.
 

 

Setup for:

 

• 2-Tuner TiVo Premiere

• 4-Tuner TiVo Roamio

Use two two-way splitters (one is included with the TiVo Bridge)
