If you have trouble connecting to your router using WPS, try resetting your TiVo Wireless N Adapter to its factory default settings and then configure the adapter manually using the setup wizard.
The adapter must remain plugged into power during the reset procedure.
To reset your TiVo Wireless N Adapter to its factory default settings, use a paper clip to gently press the Reset button on the bottom of the adapter until the power LED turns amber, then release. The adapter will restart with its factory default settings. Do not use any object to reset the TiVo Wireless N Adapter that is larger than the reset button diameter. Doing so will permanently damage the device.
To view the manual configuration instructions, see Configuring adapter settings manually.
If the adapter is still unable to connect to your wireless network after you try the manual setup procedure, check the following:
Ensure the correct Network Name (SSID) is selected from the list of available networks (the network name is case sensitive and must match exactly).
If your network router uses WPA or WPA-2 security, make sure you are using the same passphrase used to connect other devices (note: the passphrase is case sensitive).
If your network router uses WEP, make sure that your security credentials match those that you set up on your router.
I am unable to connect to the network during setup: Troubleshooting
This error means that The TiVo Wireless N Adapter does not connect to the network after you have entered your network settings.
Ensure that you are entering the correct SSID (Network Name) and password.
Ensure all wired connections (power cords, Ethernet cables, etc.) are securely plugged in and make sure your router is on and functioning properly. Make sure that both sides of the cable connector that attaches to the adapter are pressed firmly into the adapter.
If you are unable to connect to the Network using manual setup, you will need to ensure that you have selected the correct encryption type for your router, e.g. WPA, WPA-2, WEP, None.
